After lying low for most of 2009, composer/producer/DJ Nakatsuka Takeshi will be releasing a new album at long last. Titled Rock'n'Roll Circus, the album, described as dance-rock, is a collaboration with Abahouse's core brand 5351 Pour Les Hommes, featuring its chief designer Okamoto Kouji and art director/VJ Araki Tsuyoshi (also of at-scelta). The album is due for release on January 20th next year. This will be his first non-soundtrack release since 2008's Kiss & Ride.

Hello all! My name is Stixy. I'm 21, live in Central California, and have a boyfriend of 2.5 years. I spend a lot of time thinking about what I would do if there was a zombie invasion.
I really dig indie music, adventures, traveling, and generally being carefree. I can talk your ear off, but I can really listen too. I'm going to school, though I'm taking a year off to work. I want to be an English teacher (preferably at a community college). I'm sort of crass yet mellow, if that makes any sense. I can laugh about almost anything, even something tragic or embarrassing for myself. I'm sort of child-like in a way and I am VERY forgetful. My favorite book of all time is Peter Pan and my favorite movie is Harold and Maude. I love Ray Bradbury (I met him last year!) and dystopian fiction in general. I have feminist leanings, I'm a general "fag-hag" and I am proud to come from a working-class family. I like white daisies and my favorite smell is burning wood.
I want more Internet friends and LJ is perfect for that. I prefer to talk to young women around my age, as I don't have many female friends and I feel that I am missing out. Bonus points if you have Instant Messenger and you're a night owl.

Yesterday, news broke out that Super Junior member Han Geng submitted a formal application to court, wishing to terminate his contract with management company SM Entertainment. This left the public very puzzled and fans also did not understand why he took this action. But immediately after this, SJ-M’s ‘happy gate’ scandal was exposed, and left everyone thinking whether this whole contract termination ordeal is just to cover up SJ-M’s scandal and divert the public’s attention.
SJ-M is Super Junior’s 3rd sub-unit, designated to target the Chinese market. Under Han Geng’s lead, SJ-M have developed successfully in China, and they even have their own exclusive fan club. Recently, SJ-M attended various award ceremonies in China & Taiwan.
On the 19th of December, the 53rd Asia Pacific Film Festival was held in Kaohsiung and SJ-M were invited as special guests. The whole process seemed to go very smoothly, however a 6.8 magnitude earthquake suddenly struck Taiwan and became the fuse of the ‘happy gate’ scandal. After the awards ceremony, during an interview, SJ-M member Zhou Mi laughed saying: “When the earthquake struck just then, it was just like playing.” Moreover, Zhou Mi even used last year’s Si Chuan earthquake as comparison, saying: “Last year, when we were promoting in China, we also met an earthquake, and it was pretty happy.” And Han Geng who was beside him immediately rushed forward to clarify: “He (Zhou Mi) doesn’t mean happy.” However, it was too late, as everything was already recorded by the media.
After the scandal was exposed online, SJ-M have remained silent. When reporters contacted SJ-M’s performance representative, he said that he is currently on vacation, and is unclear about the situation, and is also inconvenient for him to disclose anything. And SJ-M’s Korean manager has yet to answer his phone.
But coincidentally, yesterday, all the major Chinese news sites published the Han Geng contract termination news at almost exactly the same time. And according to one of the new site’s entertainment editor, she revealed that the news was provided by SJ-M’s side, and that they even specified the location to where the news would be published to make it as eye-catching as possible.

Reaction: I've been putting off this review for a long time now. Proper appreciation probably requires a greater grasp of Japanese history and culture than I possess. Still, Spring Snow is a haunting novel even without the full social context. Mishima (and translator Michael Gallagher) perfectly captures the youthful personalities of Kiyoaki and Honda. On the edge of adulthood, they remind me of friends from my college days - Honda, the driven and career-oriented go-getter and Kiyoaki, the slacker paralyzed by any responsibility. Being more critical and introspective than most, the two friends stand outside the circles of their more popular peers. Their (often sophomoric) discussions provide insight into the Japanese mainstream of the period and illustrate the social turbulence of Meiji era westernization.
The characterization alone made this an enjoyable read. Then there's the tragic love story. I prefer tragedies to comedies, but romances usually feel way too sappy for me to enjoy. Mishima avoids sentimentality and his narration reveals the relationship perhaps as dispassionate-but-astute Honda sees it: a delicate, passionate, but ultimately doomed affair. Kiyoaki and Satoko are drawn to each other's beauty, but Kiyoaki's psychic paralysis and ingrained misogyny prevent him from pursuing the culturally sanctioned path of courtship and marriage. Instead, the couple arranges secret, forbidden meetings. Their encounters become increasingly self-destructive, especially after Satoko's parents arrange her marriage to a member of the Imperial Family. The couple's fragile passion is touching, especially in the face of their unthinkable defiance of Imperial decree. The unsustainable and ultimately destructive path is hard to read (even for Kiyoaki's flaws, both lovers are sympathetic), but it makes the ending more poignant.
Bottom line: Worth the read. There is much more to be found in this book than I can discuss here. Mishima created realistic psychological descriptions of Kiyoaki and Honda, but also of supporting characters (who reappear in later books of the tetralogy). I will leave these characters (and other themes) to later reviews. The next novel, Runaway Horses, is in my to-read stack.

World star Rain will be having his independent concert in Las Vegas, America after 3 years.
Coming 24th and 25th December, he will be holding concert performance sin America Las Vegas Caesars Palace Hotel Colosseum. Rain will be performing his own hit songs in front of a 3000-strong audience crowd during the concert.
A staff revealed on 22nd Dec, “Rain has boarded the plane heading to Las Vegas on 21st December and he will be holding concert performances there on 24th and 25th December.”
After the concert, he will return to Korea and prepare for his ongoing Asia concert tour ‘Legend of Rainisnm’ which will take place in Japan in January. Already, he had his concert performances in HongKong in November and also in Indonesia and China in December.
